Corinne Elizabeth Kent (November Rain)

There are people that leave a lasting impression on you, even though you may have met them once or twice in your life.

I first met Corinne in a party hosted by my friend, Tomas Lorenz, back in 1982 in his house in Duvernay Laval. It was a party celebrating the birthday of his brother Andreas. I, at that time had (along with Thomas) just graduated from Marianopolis college, and Corinne was in her final year at St. George’s School in Montreal.

Corinne, although a wee bit sad due to the fact that her parents had just announced their divorce, was nevertheless one of the most optimistic, beautiful in sight ’n soul, warmhearted and expressive people that I had met up to that time (and long after). Aside from having a set of eyes that were astonishing, her whole persona eminated a radiance of magnificance and pride equivalent to that of a classical Greek statue.

Corinne passed away recently (as I found out by chance while surfing the Inet) . Although we haven’t spoken for over 20 years (the last time was while I was a student at McGill and she at Dawson while working as a waitress at “the Keg” in Montreal) I will indeed miss her, and will always remember each and every conversation we had.

As in the generation of leaves, so is that of humanity. The wind scatters the leaves on the ground, but the live timber burgeons with leaves again in the season of spring returning. So one generation of men will grow while another…dies.”
Homer Iliad 6:144-150

Rest well Corinne, and embrace eternity with passion, as you embraced life.

  2. Sadly, Corinne's sister Keltie lost her battle with cancer last November. Two beautiful women gone far too soon.

  3. That is indeed sad news. May they both rest in peace....their smile and joy will last forever both in our hearts and in our minds.
